Small farming village of 70 inhabitants, Martherenges is located on the borderline between the Broye valley and the Jorat wood, half way between Lake Geneva and Neuchâtel. You will not find restaurants or shops in Martherenges, only a great peace and quiet, sometimes altered by the droning noise of a few tractors.

Outside the major roads of French-speaking Switzerland, it is nevertheless an ideal start point for your excursions!

You may not find Martherenges on every map; however, you will not forget that charming and softly hill-surrounded village once you will have walked or cycled around here. In that particular region located between the Jura Mountains and the Alps, the landscape is subject to daily variations… 22km North from Lausanne and 6 km from the small medieval town of Moudon, Some village enlightened by a single and fugitive sunbeam… Time to be amazed… Martherenges definitely deserves a little stay!
